Name: Jordan Michael Curran
Alias: Ruaidhrí Ó Corraidhín, "Red"

Date of Birth: October 30, 1872*
Apparent Age: Mid-20s to 30s
Note * : The magic he inherited when he became ruler of his people is ancient and he has access to the memories of previous rulers.

Place of Birth: Killarney, Ireland (Dublin, Ireland)
Current Home: Manhattan, New York, USA

Eyes: Blue
Hair: Red
Height: 5'8"
Sex: Male

Alighnment: Neutral
PB: Adam Nagaitis

Species: Aos Sí (Irish Fae)
Occupation: Fae lord, Casino owner, possible criminal ties

Personality: "Boyish" is probably the best descriptor. Jordan doesn't even act his apparent age, much less his true age. Under the pranks, the jokes, and the easy smiles, he's utterly devoted to his people and those under his protection. He has a well-hidden cruel streak a mile wide. Those who cross him tend to end up wishing for death. Though he keeps up a good front

Appearance: Jordan possesses glamour which usually hides his true appearance from most people. His glamoured appearance often wears custom-tailored suits. The buttons feature stags' heads, and he wears a necklace of intertwined, stylized stag antlers. Seen without a shirt, Jordan has spidery, lightly-colored tattoos in a strange script over most of his body. They form a pair of wings on his back.

His true form gives away much of his nature. Jordan is deeply tied to nature and to the hunt. The being beneath the glamour is a mix of human and stag. His hair is white, and somewhat resembles the mane of a stag. He usually has a pair of antlers. His facial hair and most of his body hair is also white. Below the knee, his legs become a stag's legs and hooves.

Familiars: Jordan has several familiars he keeps close to him, even when in the "real" world. The familiars can exist separately from Jordan, or as animal features when he's not hiding his Fae appearance. If he concentrates, he can see through a familiar's eyes and control its actions. Being forcibly separated from his familiars can weaken him, especially if he's cut off from the stag.

  • Luaithe - A large female cat, somewhat resembling a wildcat. She has a litter of kittens and most often can be seen in Jordan's home.
  • Ciarán - A male Long-Eared Owl who accompanies Jordan to the casino and is most often seen in his office when Jordan is at work.
  • Doireann - A female Eurasian Wolf, also usually kept at Jordan's home. She dislikes the city and does not like venturing out into it.
  • Conlaoch - Rarely seen, an albino red deer stag who lives on Jordan's property but seems less cooperative and "pet-like" than the other familiars. Usually acts more like an extension of Jordan, himself.
  • A boar, a fox, and a badger can sometimes be seen as well, though they remain nameless and only rarely come to Jordan's call.
Additional NPCs or "pets":
  • Fachtna and Muirenn - A male and female pair of aughiskies who live in the Hudson River.
  • Eoghan McKowen - A male puca whose favored form is a large brown bear. His human form is large and muscular, much like his bear form, and very hairy. He has sharp bear teeth, even in human form, as well as bear eyes. Most often seen as security in Jordan's casino or Jordan's "home", The Grove.
Places:
The Grove: A mansion built in 1898 and restored to its original state by Jordan. He "lives" there with several other Fae.

History: Born Thomas Michael Kelly on October 30, 1872 in or around Dublin, Ireland, he was left at an orphanage shortly after he was born. Though never proven, it was speculated that his mother was an unmarried woman, possibly even a teen, and cultural stigma against unmarried mothers played a part in his being orphaned. Raised by the nuns of the orphanage until he was two, the toddler wandered out into a storm, and straight into the Wild Hunt. The Fae queen took a liking to the child and took him with her, back to their home near Killarney.

Raised as the "grandson" of the Fae king and queen, the child quickly became accustomed to his new life among the Fae. When he turned 30, his grandfather was killed by a rival. As the king's heir, the Fae's power immediately passed down to the him, and he gained centuries of memories and ceased to be human in an instant. The Fae creature, Ruaidhrí, could still remember being human, but often thought more like a predator than anything.

As creatures of the wild, the hunt, and death, Ruaidhrí and his people shunned the modern world for the most part, at least until vampires came calling, searching for riches that the Fae held hidden away. Ruaidhrí's grandmother, the queen mother, was killed by the vampires, and Ruaidhrí swore vengeance. The Fae tracked the vampires to New York City, and Ruaidhrí began making a home for his people so that they could be safe within the modern world.

The casino offers the Fae an opportunity to mingle and get what they need from the mortal world without drawing too much attention to themselves. A nearby parking lot has been painstakingly glamoured and linked to their own lands in Killarney, creating an easy way for them to cross the Atlantic. The Grove, Ruaidhrí's home in New York, is nearby and is a well guarded fortress, although it looks just like a house.

Ruaidhrí uses his affinity for the mortal world to find those who wronged his people and find what was stolen from them.
